About the Conference
The 19th International Indonesia Forum Conference will be held in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, and hosted by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Tanjungpura.
The conference theme is Water, Land, and Societies in Transition: From the Regional to the National and Beyond. The conference brings together scholars, researchers, postgraduate students, policy makers, and practitioners to discuss the changing relationships between water, land, society, environment, governance, and development in Indonesia and beyond.
The conference is organised in collaboration with the International Indonesia Forum, an international academic community focusing on contemporary Indonesian issues.
Submission Status
Abstract submission for the 19th International Indonesia Forum Conference is now closed.
The deadline for abstract submission was extended to 30 April 2026. The conference committee is currently reviewing submitted abstracts and will contact authors regarding the status of their submissions. Accepted presenters will receive further information on registration, presentation format, the conference programme, and practical arrangements.
Conference Programme
The final conference programme will be announced after the review process and presenter confirmation have been completed. The programme will include plenary sessions, parallel paper presentation sessions, and academic discussions related to the main conference theme:

Presentation Guidelines
Accepted presenters will be informed about the presentation format by email. In principle, abstracts and presentations are expected to be delivered in English. Indonesian-language presentations may be considered on a case-by-case basis by the committee.
Presenters are advised to prepare a clear and concise presentation that highlights the research problem, method, key findings, and contribution to the conference theme.
Further technical details regarding presentation duration, slide format, room assignment, and equipment will be announced together with the final programme.

Conference Venue
The conference will be held at Universitas Tanjungpura, Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The main conference activities will take place within the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Tanjungpura.

JOURNAL PUBLICATION PARTNERSHIP
Geoplanning Journal
Participants of The 19th International Indonesia Forum (IIF) Conference 2026 are given the opportunity to submit their conference papers to Geoplanning: Journal of Geomatics and Planning. If selected, the manuscripts will be accommodated for publication in the 2027 edition under the following terms and conditions:
- Non-Regular Scheme: The accepted manuscripts will be published outside the regular publication scheme.
- Publication Fee: A publication fee of IDR 3,000,000 (three million rupiahs) applies to each accepted manuscript.
- International Collaboration: Each manuscript must feature author collaboration from at least two different countries.
- Standard Review Process: All manuscripts will undergo the standard editorial selection and peer-review process in accordance with Geoplanning’s policies and publication standards. The final acceptance decision will be determined based on the outcomes of this process.

International Journal of Environment, Architecture, and Societies (IJEAS)
Participants of The 19th International Indonesia Forum (IIF) Conference 2026 are also welcome to submit their conference papers to the International Journal of Environment, Architecture, and Societies (IJEAS). Authors may submit their manuscripts independently and proceed with the submission steps in accordance with the terms, policies, and guidelines specified on the official IJEAS website.
