About the Conference<\/strong><\/p>

The 19th International Indonesia Forum Conference will be held in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, and hosted by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Tanjungpura.<\/p>

The conference theme is Water, Land, and Societies in Transition: From the Regional to the National and Beyond. The conference brings together scholars, researchers, postgraduate students, policy makers, and practitioners to discuss the changing relationships between water, land, society, environment, governance, and development in Indonesia and beyond.<\/p>

The conference is organised in collaboration with the International Indonesia Forum, an international academic community focusing on contemporary Indonesian issues.<\/p>

Submission Status<\/strong><\/p>

Abstract submission for the 19th International Indonesia Forum Conference is now closed.<\/p>

The deadline for abstract submission was extended to 30 April 2026. The conference committee is currently reviewing submitted abstracts and will contact authors regarding the status of their submissions. Accepted presenters will receive further information on registration, presentation format, the conference programme, and practical arrangements.<\/p>

The final conference programme will be announced after the review process and presenter confirmation have been completed. The programme will include plenary sessions, parallel paper presentation sessions, and academic discussions related to the main conference theme:<\/p>

Presentation Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>

Accepted presenters will be informed about the presentation format by email. In principle, abstracts and presentations are expected to be delivered in English. Indonesian-language presentations may be considered on a case-by-case basis by the committee.<\/p>

Presenters are advised to prepare a clear and concise presentation that highlights the research problem, method, key findings, and contribution to the conference theme.<\/p>

Further technical details regarding presentation duration, slide format, room assignment, and equipment will be announced together with the final programme.<\/p>

Conference Venue<\/strong><\/p>

The conference will be held at Universitas Tanjungpura, Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The main conference activities will take place within the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Tanjungpura.<\/p>
